Judgement of the Night Warden - A Metahumans Rising One Shot

In a world of superheroes and villains, the line that divides the two can become blurred. The Night Warden sees themself as a hero, but the truth is, they fell from grace long ago. Corrupted by the power imbalance inherent in the US prison system; the man who would become the Night Warden came to believe that their rules were the only ones that mattered and that whatever they deemed as immoral was criminal. 

In the mind of the Night Warden, there are those that serve justice, and those that need to be punished. After a recent story on police misappropriation of funds Karry Fields has found herself under the eye of a man that can no longer draw the line between reporting the truth and the ideal he has forged a twisted new reality around.

Content Warning:

The Night Warden sides with the police. More so, he sees any form of dissent the same as committing a crime. The Night Warden’s methods are cruel, aggressive, and can involve forced medical procedures. The adventure includes kidnapping, and veiled psychological manipulation. Depending on the Campaign Age and Tone the Night Warden can serve as a dark reflection of the heroes or a warning to heroes who are becoming increasingly violent where that path might lead.

Metahumans Rising One Shots

Starting in December 2019, House Dok Productions began releasing free adventure for Metahumans Rising on their website.  These  one shot adventures are designed for a single game session (about 3 to 5 hours) and can be injected into most modern day superhero campaigns.  Updated and formatted for PDF,  we hope you enjoy the adventure!
